The Return of The Washington Blade!

The DC Agenda which started with the “death” of the 40 year old paper, with the help of Publisher Lynne Brown, Editor Kevin Naff, and former Blade employees has acquired the rights to all of the archives and trademarks, as well as logo of The Washington Blade. To many this is a very beautiful surprise for the Blade, which went belly up after it’s parent company filed for bankruptcy last year. Think of it as a continuation of a paper that has endeavored to bring to its readers all of the pertinent information, across the many years since the Stonewall riots in 1969.

We in the LGBT family are thrilled of such wonderful news. The mere fact that the paper has seen and reported so much in decades of existence, is a testament to who and what we as LGBT individuals have seen and lived through. I cannot say it any better than Ms. Brown who prouldy exclaimed:
There are benefits to the brand recognition of a publication that was highly trusted and respected for 40 years,” said Brown, a Blade employee for 23 years.
I wish the Washington Blade another 40 decades of survival and reporting of everything LGBT related. Long live The Washington Blade!
