Honoring Our Fallen Soldiers

On this day The B.L.O.G. Expression remembers all of our fallen soldiers as well as all those who are serving in our nations armed forces. While I am not totally in agreement with many facets of war, I am not a total pacifist. War while horrible and destructive should only be used as a method of self defense. Much like anyone of us would defend ourselves. It should not be used as a form of greed, bullying or power by any nation. This is just my opinion of course. You are free to disagree with me.

There are countless men and women who have served and defended our nation. They have served and in many cases given the ultimate sacrifice, their lives, so that we may be safe at home to live day to day. Until I have been at war and seen countless deaths, I will reserve judgment on those men and women who are doing what they can in the name of freedom. It’s always easier to judge than to sympathize.

So on this day, as we celebrate the many military heroes, in or out of combat, gay or straight, male or female, we hope for an end to all wars and all prejudices. Wishing everyone a happy day of remembrance, celebration, and a safe homecoming. God Bless!

  1. we are very proud to our brave soldier. We are very thankful to the Freedom that we enjoy now.

  2. Yes, they put their lives at risk and have a great deal to contend with when they return home. They deserve a great deal more respect than they get!
