Proposition 8 Ruled Unconstitutional

Judge Vaughn R. Walker has ruled that California's Propostion 8 which barred gay marriages is unconstituional! I won't write too much on it for now, since I wrote a post last night on it. There is Still a lot of info coming in.

In his ruling Justice Vaughn Walker stated:
Proposition 8 fails to advance any rational basis in singling out gay men and lesbians for denial of a marriage license. Indeed the evidence shows Proposition 8 does nothing more than enshrine in the California constitution the notion that opposite sex couples are superior to same sex couples.

Here is a video from outside the courthouse posted on Youtube:

Of course the harbingers of inequality will not waste any time in apealling the decision to the Ninth District. They have already asked for a stay, which means California willl not be able to perform any gay marriages until the case goes to a higher court.

Now we wait for the other shoe to fall! Gear up people!
